Why artifacts are final

Proset treats a conversion artifact as the completed result of one source-and-settings combination. It does not silently keep rewriting that artifact after creation.

A stable result preserves context

The transcript, typed text, custom context, attachments, prompt, conversion type, and AI settings form the input to a conversion. Keeping the resulting artifact final makes it possible to return to what that particular input produced.

If the same artifact changed whenever its source changed, a saved email, plan, or research draft could lose the state you had already reviewed or shared.

New input creates a new result

When you need a different result, change the source or settings and run the conversion again. The new artifact represents that new request while the earlier one remains a record of the earlier request.

This model separates editable source material from completed outputs: refine the source, then deliberately transform it.
