Create a Thought Thread
Thought Threads require Cloud Sync. Use one when several notes and context items should become a single conversion source.
Start the thread
Use any one of these paths:
- Open a recording and select the branch icon to start with that recording.
- Open Thought Threads from navigation and select Create Thought Thread.
- Start an empty thread and add sources later.
Add and arrange voice notes
- Select Record to capture a new note, or select Add to choose an existing recording.
- Use the move controls to arrange notes in the intended order.
- Exclude a note temporarily with its visibility control, or remove it from the Thread.
Removing a note from the Thread does not change its original recording.
Add supporting context
- Enter written instructions or background in the context field and select Add, or select Add file.
- Optionally relate the context to a source as Continues, Clarifies, Supersedes, Conflicts with, or Supports.
- Save the relationship.
Context remains separate from the original transcripts.
Convert the Thread
- Choose a conversion type.
- Turn Clarify first on if you want one useful question when the source is ambiguous.
- Choose Markdown or plain text when the format control is available.
- Select Convert.
- If background preparation continues, leave the screen and resume it from Run history later.
Each run freezes an exact snapshot. Adding more material and converting again creates a new run without changing earlier results.
See Thought Thread states and run history for status actions.
