Troubleshoot recording problems

The recorder opened but the timer stays at 0:00​

This is the expected idle state. Select the large microphone control to start capturing audio.

Playback stays at 0:00 on web​

  1. Select play again after the first user interaction.
  2. Allow audio playback for the Proset site in the browser.
  3. Reload the page and reopen the saved recording.

Recording stops after switching apps or locking Android​

  1. Confirm that the persistent Proset recording notification appeared.
  2. Open Android's app battery settings for Proset.
  3. Choose the setting equivalent to Unrestricted or Allow background activity.
  4. Remove Proset from sleeping-app or memory-optimization lists.
  5. Start a short test recording, switch apps, and verify that the timer advanced when you return.

You want to discard the active recording​

Select Discard before saving and confirm if prompted. If you try to leave while recording, choose the discard option in Proset's warning.
