These notes record behavior at the time of each release. For current behavior, follow the linked task and reference pages.

August 2026

Developer API and MCP

  • Added a developer API to transcribe and convert from your own tools. See Developer API for endpoints, tools, limits, and errors.
  • Added a hosted MCP server so AI assistants such as Claude or Cursor can use Proset. See Connect Proset to an AI assistant.
  • API keys are free for every signed-in account, shown once, and expire after 90 days by default.

Account and privacy

  • Added a public Terms of Service page.
  • Signed-out users now reach only documentation, the Terms of Service, and the Privacy Policy.

June 2026

Audio input

  • Added Audio Input settings for choosing a microphone.
  • Web detects available USB, built-in, and Bluetooth input devices and retains the selection between sessions.

Transcription reliability

  • Added configurable primary and backup cloud-transcription providers.
  • Added request deadlines and recovery behavior for network errors and timeouts. The current retry model is documented in Cloud transcription and retry.

Conversion models and research

  • Added separate regular and advanced model routes with configurable model choices and provider fallback.
  • Added web source verification and stricter citation-integrity rules for research conversions.

Playback, interface, and testing

  • Improved web playback when a browser blocks autoplay.
  • Improved feedback-modal keyboard behavior, Notionists avatar scaling, and signed-out refresh navigation.
  • Added Playwright coverage for recording, audio input, and feedback flows.

May 2026

  • Improved direct web navigation for Files and Admin.
  • Improved email-verification refresh and required-password-change flows.
  • Expanded production regression coverage for navigation, plan selection, email verification, and password changes.

March 2026

Documentation migration

  • Consolidated scattered Markdown and in-app help into a Docusaurus 3 site.
  • Published public sections for account setup, features, accessibility, and troubleshooting. The site was later reorganized under Diátaxis.

App capabilities

  • Expanded standard and academic conversion options.
  • Added passkey authentication alongside email and password.
  • Began phased calendar, task, and connector integration surfaces.
  • Added Drive Backup connections for Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox, with availability dependent on app configuration.
  • Added document, spreadsheet, PDF, and image imports.
  • Added nine avatar packs with 450 choices.
  • Added English and Mexican-Spanish interfaces and documentation.
  • Added Base and Pro subscriptions through Stripe and RevenueCat.
  • Added multiple-choice clarification and user preference extraction.
