Transcription states and errors
Transcription states
| State | Meaning |
|---|
| Idle | Cloud transcription has not started. |
| Queued | The saved recording is waiting to be processed. |
| Transcribing | The cloud request is in progress. |
| Succeeded | Editable transcript text is available. |
| Failed | Processing did not produce a transcript; the accompanying error determines whether retry is available. |
Upload can independently be pending, uploading, uploaded, or failed. Transcription cannot complete until the saved audio is available to the cloud service.
Error responses

| Transcription took too long | Yes | Retry on a more stable connection. |
| Could not reach the server | Yes | Check the connection and retry the saved recording. |
| Transcription did not complete | Yes | Use the retry action when ready. |
| No speech was detected | No | Make a new recording with clearer audible speech. |
| Monthly token allowance used up | No, until the allowance resets or you buy a token pack | Buy a token pack or wait for next month's allowance. |
| Monthly spending cap reached | No, until the cap or billing condition changes | Review the account's spending controls. |
