Capture and transform your first idea on Android
In this tutorial, we will record one short idea, watch Proset turn it into text, and create a summary from that text.
We will use one sample message so you can compare each result with what the tutorial describes.
Before we start
Use the current Proset Android app. Make sure that:
- you are signed in;
- the phone has a stable internet connection;
- your account has tokens available for transcription and conversion;
- Proset has permission to use the microphone.
Open the Recordings screen before continuing.
Open the recorder
Tap the microphone button.
The recorder opens without recording yet. You should see 0:00, the recording limit for your plan, and a large microphone control.
Notice that opening the recorder and starting a recording are separate actions. This gives you time to get ready.
Record the sample idea
Tap the large microphone control. The timer starts, the control changes to a pause icon, and Discard and Done appear.
Say this message at a natural pace:
Please email Jordan that the project draft is ready. Ask Jordan to review it before Friday afternoon and send me any changes. Thank Jordan for the help.
Watch the timer advance while you speak. The moving audio bars show that Proset is receiving sound.
Tap Done when you finish.
Wait for the transcript
Proset saves the recording and opens its detail screen. Upload and cloud transcription start automatically.
Wait until text appears under Transcript. The wording may not match the sample perfectly, but it should preserve the request to Jordan, the Friday deadline, and the request for changes.
Notice the connection between the audio you recorded and the editable text that appeared. This transcript is the source Proset will transform next.
If transcription reports an error instead of showing text, stop this tutorial and retry the transcription before returning here.
Create the summary
Tap the Proset logo above the transcript. Its accessible label is Convert Transcript.
The conversion menu opens. Turn Ask clarifying questions off if it is on, then choose Summary.
Proset switches to the Conversions tab while it works. When processing finishes, a completed Summary artifact opens.
The result should condense the sample into its essential message: the draft is ready, Jordan should review it before Friday afternoon, and feedback is requested.
Check what you accomplished
You have completed Proset's core path:
- You captured an idea as audio.
- Proset produced a cloud transcript.
- You transformed the transcript into a final artifact.
The artifact is final. If you want a different result, return to the transcript, change the source or settings, and run another conversion.
